In Spanish class, we continued to dive into Spanish/ Latino culture for Hispanic Heritage Month. Students learned about the lost language of the Spanish fan. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, women used to communicate with men using their fans in public places. Also, they learned how fans and castanuelas are used in today's flamenco dance.

Attention Ecorse Public Schools Community. Ecorse High will be dismissing early today due to a unforeseeable non emergency situation. All students who walk or are picked up will be dismissed at 1:00. Students who take the bus will remain and our busses will run at their normal time. All after school activities also are canceled.
