Downriver Digital uses the APEX learning platform to deliver asynchronous instruction under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Apex Learning is an accredited online learning platform and digital curriculum provider serving students in grades 6–12. The program delivers standards-aligned instruction through an interactive online environment that includes direct instruction, multimedia lessons, practice activities, assessments, and progress-monitoring tools. Apex courses are designed to support first-time credit, credit recovery, Advanced Placement (AP), honors coursework, and flexible online learning opportunities. Students work through coursework at an individualized pace while certified teachers and school staff monitor progress, provide support, deliver interventions, and ensure successful course completion.
